Birth and Postpartum Doula Services
Pregnancy, birth and postpartum are a special and sensitive time. A birth and/or postpartum doula can help improve the experience for you. Studies show that birth and postpartum doulas enhance health outcomes for both you and your baby.
I offer full support from pregnancy, through birth and during postpartum.
Birth Doula Support Package
A birth doula is a non-medical support person who is there during pregnancy and birth to support, encourage, educate and advocate for you. It is never too early (or too late) to hire a birth doula.
No matter what kind of birth you plan on having, a birth doula can help improve satisfaction with your experience and health outcomes for you and your baby. As your birth doula, I will help you navigate your pregnancy and provide in-person support during labor and birth. I am happy to support all types of families and births in all types of settings.
My birth doula package includes 1-2 prenatal visits to provide resources, birth planning and education. I am available for phone, text and email support as well. I will be on-call from 38 weeks and provide continuous support during labor and birth. After your birth, we will have one postpartum visit to check-in, process your birth experience and make sure you have all the resources you need for your recovery.
Postpartum Doula Support Package
Support for the new parent shouldn’t end when the baby is born. As a postpartum doula, I can offer unbiased, neutral care for the whole family during the postpartum period.
My postpartum doula package includes one prenatal meeting to brainstorm and plan your preferences and needs for your postpartum period. This can practical tasks such as feeding yourself and taking care of other family members or pets. We can also talk about setting boundaries with others and finding your support team. I will then return after the birth of your baby to provide 10 hours of postpartum doula support (split into smaller blocks of care). Postpartum doulas can help with everything from emotional support and baby care to laundry and light household tasks.
I currently do not offer overnight services, but can recommend some other wonderful doulas who do.
